Graham Oates makes Sweepstake draw for November - See results

The November 1953 sweepstake draw was made on Saturday prior to the Carlisle United game by former player Graham Oates. Graham played 121 games for Blackpool scoring 21 goals. Graham shared some stories about manager Stan Mortensen and playing with Stan Matthews, Jimmy Armfied, Alan Ball and Tony Green. Thank you Graham for making the draw at short notice. See video below. Your support enables a £2512.23 donation to the BFC Festive Fundraiser

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your backing throughout the year in participating in the 1953 Sweepstake. Through this collective support, we were able to contribute £2512.23 to the Club and Community Trust initiative.

Launched in 2020, the Club and Community Trust initiated the Festive Fundraiser upon discovering the alarming statistic that over 1,000 primary school children in Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre would go without a present on Christmas Day.

The Club and Community Trust are once again seeking funds for this upcoming Christmas and beyond. Similar to the initial fundraiser, Simon Sadler’s Segantii Capital Management has pledged to match the final amount raised pound-for-pound.

Sweepstake - Latest draw results

The Sweepstake draw was made yesterday prior to the Shrewsbury game at the Armfield club. We thank the Armfield for hosting and former Blackpool player Andy Barlow for making the draw. Andy played for the Pool under Sam Allardyce and Gary Megson. You can see a video of the draw below.

Details of the winners are as follows:

1st Prize of £215 was won by Andrew Wigan

2nd Prize of £130 was won by Damien Gee

3rd Prize of £85 was won by Elizabeth Cocks .

4th Prize of a match worn signed football shirt, kindly donated by the BFC, was won by James Scrivener.
